“On Sunday 2^nd February 2025 we welcome you to join us, as we have done since 1963, for our annual Cotswold Clouds Classic Trial. Over the years many competitors and spectators have enjoyed the Cotswold Hills and this year will hopefully be no exception.

Although some of the sections may provide more of a challenge than others, the clerks of the course do not wish to make all hills stoppers for any of the 9 classes, giving all the chance to successfully climb some hills during the day. The Clouds, winner of the ACTC Trial of the Year award in 2016, remains a successful and popular trial attracting a full entry for many years. The organising team of Paul Watson, Gary Browning, Kieran Yarwood, Peter Hayward and Suzanne Burns look forward to receiving your entries, so please complete the online entry form as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We will keep you updated with entries via our website and the Club’s Facebook page.

The excellent facilities at Fromebridge Mill will again be the start venue as in previous years. Tea, coffee and hot food will be available as usual. Trailer parking will be available at Fromebridge Mill. If you’re not planning to compete this year, please consider offering your services as a Marshal. These offers are so very much appreciated and we literally couldn’t do it without you!

2025 Bodmin Heights Trial Regulations

“Following difficulties with access to forestry land over recent years and the loss of some significant single venue trials, in January 2024 Simon and Emma Groves and Ben Tonkin introduced the Bodmin Heights Trial to the Classic Trials calendar, a multi-venue road trial using both former single venue locations and new sections in new locations for the trialling world to enjoy.

The inaugural event ran with much success, leading to its addition in the ACTC championship calendar for 2025 and cementing its place in the Camel Vale event calendar. This year sees the event evolve to include the resurrection of some previously used complexes, visits to some of the forests used last year plus a trip to Hustyn where those that didn’t quite make it past the 1 marker on the Camel will get to give it a second try!

2025 also sees the introduction of motorcycle solos to the running order, a new challenge for both the organisers and competitors.

“We will once again start & finish at The Bull Inn in Hinton, just off the A46 about 2 miles south of M4 Junction 18. The event will include all the old favourites, (Guys Hill, John Walker & Travers).

We will again be using Online entries through Bristol MC MyClubhouse. Non Members will need to register as a guest/competition member on the system. If you registered last year you can use the same ID and password and then sign up to the Event.

We will be using a field for parking as last year. Following feedback towing assistance will be available both before and after the event if required.

In recent years the trial has been well subscribed so to avoid disappointment don’t delay your entry. If you are unable to enter but could come & marshal we would be delighted to hear from you.

“We can now announce that the entries are open for the 53rd edition of the Exmoor Clouds, running this year on Sunday the 3rd of November.

We have moved the event from early September to early November in the search for more challenging conditions for you all! However, with significantly less daylight at this time of year we have put together a more concise route this year, while still incorporating the firm favourites, plus a couple of new and returning sections.

We hope to see you on the day, for a competitive day’s trialling on Exmoor!“
