“Launceston & North Cornwall Motor Club welcomes you to the 75th Tamar Trial to be held on Sunday 16th October 2022 catering for motorcycles, combinations, and cars.

This year’s event is being run in memory of our long-standing Clerk of the Course, Pete Cooper who very sadly passed away last year. Pete put a huge number of hours of work into the Tamar and many other grassroots motorsport events over the years and his hard work was rewarded with the Tamar Trial being awarded trial of the year in both 2019 and again in 2021. Indeed, in Pete’s memory there is a new award for the best car performance by a club member on the Tamar.

The 2022 route will visit the Tamar Valley, heading into West Devon and to the North Cornwall coast, there will be the favourites such as Park Impossible, Crackington and Angel Steps which has had a ‘facelift’ following work after last winter’s storms along with, we hope a new addition or two. As ever, we aim to make the trial appealing to all classes and competitors with a range of sections.

The start venue will be Proper Ansome Café, Maunders Yard, Link Road, Launceston, PL15 9HS and the finish remains at Pete’s local, the Frog & Bucket Pub, PL15 7LP in South Petherwin, just outside of Launceston. Both the start and finish are only a few miles from the A30 dual carriageway.

We are pleased to be able to offer the easy-to-use online entry system again available at www.lncmc.co.uk/online-entry/, alternatively postal entries are still welcomed.

We hope you will join us on the 16th October and we look forward to offering you a good day’s trialling in a beautiful part of Devon and Cornwall.”
