Entries are now open for the 2018 Tamar Trial, to be held on Sunday 21st October.
“Launceston & North Cornwall Motor Club and MG Car Club Devon & Cornwall Centre welcome you to the 72nd Tamar Trial to be held on Sunday 21st October 2018. This year’s Tamar will see a few changes. Notably we have both a new start and finish this year. The start will be at Tresmeer Village Hall, PL15 8QT, M.R. 190/235875 just a short distance from our new finish at Wilsey Down Hotel, Hallworthy, PL32 9SH, M.R. 190/182878.
The route will see competitors return to the Tamar Valley this year for some sections which have not been accessible for a few years as well as some new additions. The trial will of course include the favourite hills of recent years with the popular lunch stop at Marystow Church Hall. Last year we were pleased to be able to complete the trial in daylight and we hope to do so again.
This year we are also giving competitors the option to enter and pay online at www.lncmc.co.uk/online-entry/
We are once again running the car side of the trial under a dual-permit. This allows non-championship contenders or those who perhaps only enter a few events over a year the chance to participate in the trial without the need for a competition license.and offering an award for the Best Japanese Production Car for the second year. For the Cars, on event insurance cover, as is now common place, is included within the entry fee.
We look forward to offering you a good day’s trialling in a beautiful part of Devon and Cornwall.
New Start Venue : Tresmeer Village Hall, PL15 8QT
