“With winter upon us and the trialling season in full swing, it’s time to enter the Land’s End. The starts are now rotating and competitors from Cirencester will start first. There are new routes from each of the starts, reducing the amount of route using dual carriageways. I hope you will find the route much more pleasant to ride or drive. The finish moves nearer Land’s End and will be at Hayle. There are ‘new’ sections in all classes yet retaining the favourites. Class O will again have the choice of either Old Blue Hills or Blue Hills 2, but the competitors will have to decide at Perranporth which they will attempt. Both sections will be observed and count towards any award. Please enter the trial onlineif possible. The closing date is Sunday 14th February 2016.”
“Attached are the Regs for this years Torbay Trial which is on Sunday 13th March. As always we try to add something new each year, this time we have found two great new sections we can hopefully include, weather permitting, while retaining the popular hills that you tell us you enjoy. We always listen to feedback from competitors so have also made a few changes to help ensure the final running cars finish earlier. With a few alterations and shortening of road route we expect the last car to be around an hour earlier finishing this year.
I do hope you can enter our event, we do sometimes fill-up in the final weeks so please enter early if you want to avoid disappointment. This is especially so this year as, except for the Lands End at Easter, this is the last championship Classic Trials event in the South until the Taw and Torridge in September!
Here are the regs and entry form for the 2016 Launceston Trial. I can highly recommend this trial – a variety of challenging but (mostly) non damaging hills set within the beautiful Lew and Eastcott Woods.
“Launceston & North Cornwall Motor Club invite you to the 2016 Launceston Trial. The trial will again run in its popular format as a single venue trial held in Eastcott & Lew Woods. As always we hope to introduce some new sections and of course sections from the Tamar Trial will be included. We again plan to have a catering van in attendance throughout the day providing hot rolls and baps etc. and hot & cold drinks. A popular move in recent years has been to automatically include membership to Launceston & North Cornwall Motor Club for the year, for anyone who enters the trial and we are pleased to be able to offer this again. Therefore competitors from any club, or indeed if you have yet to renew your club membership, you are all very much welcome to enter the trial as you will automatically become a member of the organising club upon entry. And of course as the event is run under a Clubman permit there is the added bonus that you don’t need a competition licence to enter. We hope you can join us on Sunday 14th February and look forward to providing you with a good day.”
“Holsworthy Motor Club welcomes you to the Bill Vanstone Chairman’s Trophy Trial to be held on Sunday 21st February 2016. The trial will follow a similar route to last year. We are again pleased to say we are using the ideally suited new cattle market in Holsworthy for the start venue and the on site café will be serving breakfast. There will also be access to even more parking, as we will have full access of the grounds. The timing issues around the lunch halt has been ironed out this year I promise, and we are looking at an alternative lunch halt that is more mud friendly! We have decided that we will run both our classic trials under dual permits from now on. This will allow non-championship contenders or those who perhaps only enter a few events over the year a chance to participate in the trial without the need for a competition license. Motorcycle competitor will again this year benefit from being covered for road mileage under the normal authorization insurance certificate, meaning separate cover is not required. We look forward to offering you a good days trialing, fingers crossed for better weather than last year!”
