2019 Camel Classic Trial Entry Pack

“The Camel Classic Road Trial first ran in 1983 (called the Octo for the first two years) thanks to two new trialers Hans Viertel and Pete Allen. The event flourished every year and soon became a round of the Chester Motor Club Trials Championship and later ACTC and ASWMC Championship rounds. The original organising team of Hans and Pete were still running the event 31 years later in 2014.

Sadly Hans suddenly passed away in 2015 which was a huge loss to Camel Vale Motor Club and the trialling community. Hans was described by many as a true gentlemen and he is greatly missed by all. He really was totally immersed in trials; be it as a competitor, marshall or organising the Camel Classic in December every year. We hope his memory can live on in this event for many years to come.

Again this year the Camel Classic will be run as a dual permit event so that non-championship competitors may enter under the Clubmans permit and will not be required to produce a Competition Licence.

For the first time ever in 2015 we invited motocycle solo’s and outfits to enter the trial. This was a success and all the riders enjoyed the event so we will continue this for future years.

Hope you enjoy the event!

Start Venue : The Borough Arms, Dunmere, Bodmin, PL31 2RD

“The 2019 Allen Trial will once again start and finish at The Bull Inn at Hinton, just off the A46 approximately 2 miles south of Junction 18 on the M4. The event will include all the old favourites (Guys Hill, Travers & John Walker). We have retained Fry’s Bottom with the through route and hopefully a new section.

Once again we are running the trial under a Dual-Permit (National B & Clubman). The Clubman Event (open to invited clubs) allows non-championship contender to participate in the trial without the need for a competition licence We have an award for the first overall in the clubman event. This year we are also accepting online entries payment to be made by online transfer or posting a cheque.

We will be using the same trailer parking as last year.. Follow feedback towing assistance will be available both before and after the event if required.

“Welcome to the 2019 Woolbridge Hardy Classic Trial. The event is a round of the ACTC car and motorcycle championships and also counts for the ASWMC Classic Trials Championship, and we look forward to receiving your entries. The Bridport & Weymouth Motorcycle Club is again running the motorcycle classes under a separate ACU permit. We are also again running a Clubmans event for club members and others without a competition licence, including a 4 wheel drive class; these will run strictly behind the main event and are not permitted to overtake main event competitors.

We are using the Lockton insurance scheme for cars, whereby the entry fee includes £15.12 for all competitors. There is no opt-out for anyone who has their own insurance, but this small extra cost for those competitors is outweighed by the benefit to competitors who previously paid more per event, and the certainty that everyone competing is covered for road use. Motorcycles are covered by a similar arrangement as part of the ACU permit process.

The start and finish will again be at the Clay Pigeon kart track at Warden Hill on the A37 between Dorchester and Yeovil. There is parking for trailers. Results for the ACTC championship classes will be displayed at the finish on a provisional basis only. They will be then be e-mailed or posted to competitors who will be given seven days to raise any queries in accordance with Blue Book D26.1.3. Hot food and drinks will be available at the start and finish in the New Club House/Restaurant.

Start Venue : Clay Pigeon Kart Track, off A37 between Yeovil and Dorchester, DT2 9PW

Ross & District Motor Sports Club LogoEntries are now open for the 2019 Kyrle Trial, to be held on Sunday 27th October.

2019 Kyrle Trial Entry Pack

“Ross & District Motor Sports Club have pleasure in welcoming you to the 42nd running of The Kyrle Trial. Yes, 42 years ago the first Kyrle Trial was organised in April 1977. A single venue event by Richard Andrews up on May Hill and it was won by Eric Wall in his Canhi. I am pleased to say that some of those original organisers are still involved today.

As in the previous two years we will have a Clubman trial running alongside the main trial. You DO NOT require a Competition Licence for the Clubman trial. We offer Reis Motorsport Road Traffic Act insurance for those that require it at £15.00. We are stopping with our autumn date to avoid the nesting Goshawks and we will be starting early to make the most of the daylight. Don’t forget, the clocks change the night before the trial. This year a new Clerk of the Course, Owen Jones assisted by lots of ‘old hands’. We have a good selection of hills to chose from, most in very good condition. Be prepared for all sorts of weather.

Our hills are suitable for all classes and driver skills, our hills are not rough, but they are tough and steep. Unfortunately we have had to increase our entry fee as Forestry England has increased the charges they make for the use of their land. Another new start venue this year and we hope it will be successful. The finish of the trial remains at our Club House in Ross-on-Wye where tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available and the bar will be open to help quench honest thirst! Please note the date, Sunday 27th October and come along to marshal if you cannot enter. Ollie Jenkins will be pleased to hear from you at any time on 07880 354533 or [email protected]

We look forward to seeing you for another good day’s trialing with around 14 competitive hills and two observed tests.

Owen Jones, Ollie Jenkins, Nigel Green, Stuart Harrold, John Tatlow, Neil Forrest, Alan & Hilary Baker, and the Organising Team.

New Start Venue : Molly’s Café, Symonds Leisure Park, Symonds Yat
