each
other. I have competed in this series since its inception and I have
never met another competitor who displayed any "edge". For the
newcomer, advice is readily available and freely given. So don’t be
bashful just because other more experienced drivers may be mounted on
some exotic trials special or are known to have a bulging trophy cabinet
at home, ask for guidance. It will almost always be cheerfully and
helpfully given. Pick your moment though, we are all human, and asking
an expert where he went wrong when he’s just failed a section others
are cleaning, may not be a wise move.
Registering for our series in no way obligates you to
chase the championships. It is simply the best way of ensuring that you
are kept up to date with classic trials matters and events by a regular
mailing of regulations and entry forms for the various trials, plus our
interesting and informative quarterly magazine, "Restart".
You will see that we have a variety of well supported
classes catering for all manner of vehicles from modern small front
wheel drive saloons to the purpose built trials specials. We welcome
sports cars, conventional saloon cars, rear engined cars, kit cars, and
of course pre 1941 cars. All of which provide their owners with a
particular challenge and an excellent days trialling.
Our Pouncy League, motorcycle series is now well
established and gains momentum with every trial. Here you will find
competitive events suitable for trail bikes, sidecar outfits, and
classic motorcycles of the type ridden in ISDT trials of the fifties and
sixties. Once again you will find great camaraderie amongst the riders.
We have always tried to ensure that our awards are
distributed fairly and evenly throughout the classes so everyone has the
opportunity to take home some silverware whatever they are driving or
riding. Even the hard working passengers are catered for, their own
points scoring league table ensures that energy and effort is rewarded.
We are looking forward to your joining us out on the
hills in 2012
