The two oldest ACTC member clubs are the Midland Automobile Club (MAC) and the Motor Cycling Club (MCC). MAC was formed in January 1901 and MCC 10 months later. 

Many clubs were formed during the high days of classic trialling, during the 1930s and immediately post war.
